Comrades,
We have many new members that have joined our Post since the end of May, 2020, and this is a great way to meet them. Please join us for our Meet & Greet tomorrow - a light dinner will be served.
As Commander for Post 0136 for the 2020/2021 Post Year, I'm happy to reopen our Post and look forward to meeting all of you, and seeing my friends that I have not been able to visit with for many months.
If you are uncomfortable attending a meeting or a Meet and Great event because of the COVID-19 disease, we all understand. Please continue to visit our post website at: https://alpost136.us, or our Facebook Page for news and upcoming events.
We will be practicing social distancing and all encouraged to wear a mask, but it is not mandatory.
For God and Country,
Jim

Place Your Bids!
Greetings Comrades! I hope your year is going well and you’ve safely navigated the change to daylight savings time. Are you ready to place your bids Legionnaires? Moultrie Post 136 is holding our second annual Live & Silent Auctions on April 13th which is only two weeks away. This is one of our major fundraisers for 2019 and we need your support! You can donate an item or two, but please plan on attending this event and help us by selling event tickets. Don’t miss out on the fun and the action of this special event. We also need members to help on the day of the event and take good care of our friends and neighbors coming from the local community to attend the 2019 Live & Silent Auctions.
Bill Ferguson is our Chairman for the Auction and he is doing a great job! We will again be holding this event at The Rusty Rudder restaurant in Mount Pleasant, SC, on Hwy 17N (just before Carolina Park Blvd.). We’ve recruited sponsors for this special event and we are actively collecting donations from local businesses. Now we need your help to bring us home by selling a few event tickets to your friends and neighbors. We can also do “Will Call” tickets for this special event. Don’t let them miss the event!
Auction tickets are only $30 and this includes the lowcountry seafood boil and a beverage, live local music, door prizes and participation in our Live and Silent Auctions at The Rusty Rudder. We could use your help as a volunteer supporting this special event on April 13th any time during 12:00 to 6:00pm. You can serve a bit and also enjoy the Live & Silent Auctions. Proceeds from this special event will benefit local Veterans and help support Moultrie Post 136 operations. So plan on supporting us by attending the Live & Silent Auctions on Saturday, April 13th at The Rusty Rudder (12-6pm). Unless you’re coming to this event you’re missing out on a great event and all the fun. Do you have your tickets yet? Just place your “Will Call” order by phone. The Live & Silent Auctions are going to be fun!
I’ll also see You at our next regular meeting at VFW Post 10624 on Tuesday, April 16th at 6:30pm. We will be updating our members on the 2019 Auction results at this meeting. So please plan on joining us for our business meeting and the Commander’s Call afterwards. We’re also preparing for our Moultrie Post 136 elections on May 21, 2019. So please plan on join us for our next meeting for an update.
I know you don’t want to miss out on the Live & Silent Auctions on April 13th and we could really use your help right now! So please call me if you need Auction tickets or event cards before the event. You can reach me at (703) 862-7176 to place your “Will Call” event ticket order. Just give me a call!
You may also use the Commander’s phone to contact Bill Ferguson with any additional questions You may have about the Auction at (843) 437-4732. Please use this number for all our special events.
